This Adobe Premiere rendering & encoding benchmark tests speed with the new IGP hardware acceleration, looking at render time requirements of the Intel i7-8700K vs. i9-7980XE, R7 2700X, and Threadripper 1950X. This follows-up on a video by Hardware Canucks, where Dmitry switched back to Intel from an AMD Ryzen CPU. We've been in the market to build a new video editing & rendering PC for ourselves lately, and in order to build the best possible video editing machine, we ran some render time benchmarks. Our initial plan was to use an HEDT / HCC CPU, but it looks like those plans may now be dashed.
