Separate Ways Review

Did you know that Capcom has released DLC for Resident Evil 4 Remake? It’s called Separate Ways, and it’s a somewhat shorter campaign, where you play through the events of RE4 again, but, this time, from the perspective of Ada.

The Resident Evil 4 Remake was undeniably great, but is this $10 DLC worth your hard earned cash? Let’s get into it.

Although it is set at the same time and place as the main story, Ada’s adventure is quite different from Leon's. She has her own plot lines, boss fights, and even some unique abilities, like a grappling hook and an ocular spy device.

Other than that, the controls, combat, and overall mechanics are exactly like the base game. There’s the same weapons, items, inventory management, saving at typewriters, and shopping with the merchant.

So, if you’re looking for something very different from the base game, this DLC doesn’t deliver that. But I really enjoyed Separate Ways, and if you just want more RE4, you’ll probably love this, because it really is interesting to see how Ada's adventure weaves its way in and out of Leon’s story.
