Here are 3 reasons why Cocoon is one of the absolute best puzzle games.
Number 1: It respects your intelligence. There’s nothing more annoying than having your hand held through a puzzle game, but Cocoon is one of those games that trusts the player, and actually doesn’t give you any instructions at all. It’s up to you to discover how to progress, and it’s way more satisfying because of that.
Number 2: It’s genuinely unique. In Cocoon, you travel between different worlds. The crazy thing is that these worlds are contained within glowing orbs that you carry around on your back. Because of this, you can do things like carry one world into another. It’s mind bending in the best possible way, and it creates some really fresh puzzles.
Number 3: It’s not overpriced. $70 games are common now. But, despite the fact that this is a brand new game, it only costs $20-$25, depending on where you get it. It is a shorter game, but, considering the quality, I think it’s a great deal. And if you don't care about owning it, and have a Game Pass subscription, it’s there too.
