A new PlayStation 5 console revision has just been unveiled by Sony. It’s slimmer, but it’s not called the PS5 Slim. It’s just the new PS5.

And just like the previous version, this new version of the PS5 comes in two variations, one that has a disc drive and one that doesn’t.

But now, Sony is offering a separate $80 disc drive that can be attached to the digital version of the console if you decide down the line that you want to add it on.

But the digital console is increasing in price from $400 to $450. So, if you do think you might want that disc drive, I'd say just go for the $500 version of the console that comes with the disc drive pre-attached - it’ll save you $30.
