We know what we would like to change, add, remove,..., from it.
But before diving into that work it is smart to check if there are any legal documents already made for us.
And by that I mean notes or smaller documents for templates and assets which we download or buy online.
For game engines, applications, software,..., that would be official manuals and Help files.
Lucky for us GameMaker programmers made the Documentation text file for us.

It is very short, but don't that fool you, this is very very important document and it will help you long term.
So read it before you do anything in Towers Vs. Monsters GameMaker tower defense template.
In it you have all basic info on how template is structured, where to find what, how to..., basic connections, dependency,...
You will probably get back to it later, from time to time, when you need to find some information on template structure.
