I've finished Armageddon by now and although it started out slow I ended up enjoying the experience as a whole. Some of its' action-packed moments are highly reminiscent of Guerilla's most hectic combat encounters, and despite an overreliance on dark underground environments there is also much-needed variety in the form of (admittedly brief) ground-level excursions, satisfying vehicle-based missions and even a classy homage to Descent thrown in for good measure. As far as third-person action games go Armageddon is not a standout title, but well worth picking up in a Steam sale for fans of the genre.
