Space Marine's level design is rather simplistic and repetitive even compared with the perpetually dark mine tunnels of Red Faction: Armageddon (which is the latest third-person action game I finished), so it's a good thing that the combat - or orc genocide, really - which takes place within the game's various generic locales is hectic and satisfying enough that one easily forgets the surroundings and just focuses on slaughtering yet another zillion of greenskins.
