Repton 2 Caverns Part 5
1Level 6 is a nightmare. I save time by letting out all four spirits at the start, but this means the rock puzzle leading to the key, and the two chambers above, must be solved by a near-perfect route, or the last spirit will be trapped in that area when I go up the left-hand side of the main room (clearly the fastest route) to unblock the last cage. Incidentally, the synchronisation of the Oil Ocean music with this level's internal transporter was a complete fluke.
After this, the key on Level 1 is at last available, so I have free choice as to the order of tackling the remaining level chains. I opt for Levels 10 and 14 next; neither is that tough, but the skull maze in the top-right of Level 14 was a pain to record. At least it only needs to be run through once, if the monster and spirits are released together.
My time at the Level 18 savepoint is 41 minutes, 14 seconds.
