In this episode, covering the last part of Chapter 7 and all of Chapter 8 of the game, Leon and Ashley finally break through the hordes of Zealots to reach the courtyard of the castle, but Luis is not there and Ashley's infection gets so bad that it makes her briefly turn on Leon, then run away in horror at her own behavior. Undaunted, Leon takes a big detour through some of the castle's battlements to reconnect with his protegee, while being constantly taunted by Ramon Salazar and meeting new enemies, such as the spider-like Plagas Aranas and a nearly invincible Armored version of El Gigante.
