In this episode, Victoria McPherson's investigation is interrupted by a defiant intrusion of the murderer, tauntingly leaving a clue about his next victim in the least convenient location possible and then disappearing. The investigation subsequently leads Victoria to a local professor of criminology who has his own point of view on the connections between the Prague and Chicago crime scenes... a point that is, however, hardly consistent with the information Victoria continues to extract from her grandfather's journal, as he continues to narrate the details of his own investigation in Prague, which have by now put him in touch with a most bizarre artist by the name of Mark Ackerman.
