Resident Evil Revelations 2: Now What did Umbrella Do? Part 2: Contemplation
0Welcome to another glorious adventure with Resident Evil Revelations 2 on Playstation 4! We are in the second episode of the game and back with our friends, and learn a little bit more about the island that we are trapped on.
The first half of the stream, we start with a cinematic showing a few characters we haven't met yet. It turns out that they are also survivors of the attack at TerraSave. We are trapped in a village bar called the Wossak. Our only way out seems to be a dilapidated helicopter that Gabe seems to think that he can fix with fuel and a new battery. Seems sus, but okay. As we search the town, we find the parts with need with the help of Pedro and his new spiffy drill. Things go predictability sideways when the Overseer uses a siren to summon Afflected to attack. After spending time trying to hold back the horde, we find out how the virus works. It triggers mutation by intense fear. We escape with Neil, who we find out is the CEO of TerraSafe. We make our way through the city one building at a time. Claire and Moira come across Natalia, and try to help keep her safe. We finally get the tower where the Overseer may be hiding, but are held up by a boss fight in a building. We die once, but we get the boss on our next attempt. With that, we are finally able to head toward the tower, and the segment ends.
We switch to Barry and Natalie again, and pick up where we left off with them. They have to approach the area we started with Claire and Moira. We have to go through the forest and a through a bunch of Revenants. We come across a locked gate, and because I know how these games work, I didn't even try it before I detour through a broken down house. Here we find a bunch of Revenants who are surrounding the house. After killing all of them, we enter the house, and find the key to the gate. We come across the town that Claire and Moira had been in. We find a new enemy type. It's called a Glasp. And of course, it is invisible, and it flys. Luckily, it only takes one or two shots to kill with Natalia's help. We find wind our way through the city just as we did with Claire and Moira. Along our way, we find out where Pedro went after his transformation. Unfortunately for him, Barry with Natalia's help is able to hit every single weak spot on him. We continue along and come across another new monster who throws goo at us. We kill it quickly as we make our way toward the tower. We walk in the front door, and up some stairs before we discovered a secret about the Overseer. And with that, we end the segment!
