Ok, Scream Tracker is not a game but at the very least you could say that it's intimately connected to the wider pop cultural framework surrounding retro gaming. Although primarily intended for composing and editing music, me and my friends used Future Crew's legendary muli-track digital sequencer almost exclusively as playback software for use with the zillions of so-called MODs (short for "module") which were produced during the early 1990s. I spent countless hours during my childhood and early teenage years revelling in the sheer geeky awesomeness of tracks like Karsten Koch's remix of Jean-Michael Jarre's "Chronologie, Part 4", which is what you'll hear in this clip. Enjoy!
