Rockstar Games GTA 6 may hit the shelves in 2024, indicates latest earning call
GTA 6 release date is very likely before April 2025
Take-Two Interactive, the parent company behind Rockstar Games, is foretelling a substantial surge in revenue for 2025, hinting at the impending release of the highly anticipated GTA 6, possibly by the close of 2024.
"We at Take-Two maintain our optimism regarding a notable turning point in fiscal 2025, which we envision will encompass unparalleled operational achievements," affirmed Strauss Zelnick, CEO and chairman of Take-Two Interactive.
Speculation abounds that GTA 6 might debut between September and October 2024. Given the exceptional performance of preceding entries in the GTA series, this new iteration is projected to bolster the company's earnings. Consequently, an unveiling of the GTA 6 trailer or official gameplay by Rockstar Games is plausible within the coming months.
As detailed by an Insider Gaming report, Take-Two Interactive's 25th fiscal year is slated for 2024-2025, coinciding with the anticipated announcement of its most promising video game. Concurrently, the company's projections encompass a $5.5 billion yield for 2023, with expectations of a substantial $8 billion profit in 2024, including an additional $2.5 billion attributed to GTA 6 sales.
Rockstar Games officially acknowledged its ongoing work on the next installment of the Grand Theft Auto series in February 2022.
In keeping with the pattern of past GTA releases, GTA 6 is anticipated to initially launch as an exclusive title for consoles, with early access granted to players on the PS5 and Xbox Series S|X.
