Rex from Xenoblade chronicles 2 is a main character that often got a lot of hate for being this twink kid when his game released back in the day.
People hated his English voice actor, they hated how he had a harem of girls despite being this skinny kid, and they hated how realistic the story of Xenoblade chronicles 2 decided to portray him. Rex wasn't some perfect hero that had all the answers to difficult questions, he was just a teenager thrown into a situation he had very little control over. Throughout the course of Xenoblade 2 he makes tons of mistakes and get's his butt handed to him. As a character Rex embodies the ideal of learning from ones mistakes and become stronger after a defeat. This is what I want to focus on in this video.
