"Romance", Surprise Attack, & Causing Chaos with New Powers - Saints Row IV: Re-Elected
A pseudo continuation of the story (it IS a story event). And now I know what some of you (especially Kinzie) may be thinking, "Matt Miller!? Out of everyone, why Matt Miller???"
Well I mean... look at them! I designed The Boss when I didn't know what the other characters in the game looked like, and look at how similar they look! Not that similar looks dictate a relationship, but that's also not what "Romance" means in this game anyway. It just means "Do the nasty". Aesthetically he's the character who matches her the most. Plus she seemed to be having a real soft spot for the guy, so I figured why not?
That and also mostly because I saw that you gotta "romance" pretty much everyone in order to get all of the trophies, so there's that.
Anyway, things seem to be picking up yet AGAIN with more progression of the story. Before it was new elements added, but this time I was straight up ambushed by a Warden just for going back into the simulation. Apparently they didn't like us breaking someone else out of Zinyak's prison, and it explains why the prompt was to "Start Mission" instead of just "Enter Simulation".
But it was all for the purpose of gaining yet another new super power... sort of. This was the power it made me have to use during the Christmas DLC. Having seen those Cluster spots in the ground all over, I figured that's what the Stomp was for, which is why I tested it out during that DLC (to grab a Cluster) too.
She didn't need steel-tipped boots (or any boots) to send people flying with her feet before, but this just elevates that to a whole new level. As I grow more used to having this power as an option, you'll see more tactical uses of it as well as just generally more masterful combo'ing with it.
However, those Murderbot fucks seem to be immune to pretty much everything but a good load of bullets to the face :|
And if anyone watched the whole walking portion of the first Professor Genki's M.O.M. Holidy Special video, you're welcome. I said I'd find a more appropriate time to use a longer version of that techno song xP It just fits so well in this game because of all the electronic/dubstep music it has.
(As for Mind Control, I ultimately use it so sparingly that it's like I forget it even exists, because it's not all that interesting to me.)
