Instead of using a Gearbox you can use a CVT Unit to change Speed or Torque ratio. A little hard to craft, but makes the life so much easier. An important feature is the ability to change between two different predefined modes with a Redstone signal. I will demonstrate this together with an Extractor from a previous tutorial.
