Tinker's Construct Tutorial: Smeltery Automation (FTB 1.6.4)
After getting your Smeltery up and running, maybe you want to automate some of the steps; like inserting or extracting. This video is a new version of a smeltery automation video I did a long time ago. More generic, and hopefully more explaining.
In this video I will go through some of the mechanics around the Smeltery and its blocks. How to work with the block features and how to automate some steps with vanilla blocks or from other mods. Note that this is not a tutorial of how to build a Smeltery or how to use the basic functionality, this is more of a next-step-video. Also note that the purpose is to demonstrate the potential rather than building the perfect setup.
I will go through:
Seared Faucet
Casting Basin
Inserting and extracting from the Basin
Smeltery Drain
Inserting and extracting via the drain
Redstone controlled faucet
Stacked insertion to the Smeltery Controller
Filtered liquid output with Fluiducts, using Pneumatic Servos and the Liquid Filter in the Fluiduct
Hoppers to extract from Casting Basin/Table
