If you don't know this by now, you're a beginner ๐Ÿค“

Relying on emotion is a quick trip to moving backwards

The last time you had a small craving, wouldn't it be nice to just..

Satisfy it? ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

In the gym and working up a decent sweat. It feels like todays workout is going great..

Isn't it?

Take one look at the progress you've had over the past 3 months. If I asked you where you were then, compared to now. Would you have an exact answer of the strength or weight progress you've made?

Having a routine - even a small one - provides structure and a foundation to see actual results.

With the Gym, skill acquisition by performing the same movements repeatedly.

Not doing whatever you feel like on a given day.

With your diet, gaining control and awareness of what you're actually eating

Not consuming whatever you want, and lost as to why you're not losing weight.

Routine over emotion. ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ

Successfully hit your fitness goals a few times, and then a few more times. It gets easier to control emotional impulses.

To resist the temptation to be lazy is difficult, never really going away. Routine helps there again.

I struggle with relying on emotion to this day, I'm human too... and when in doubt, I know a strong routine (and following it) will get things back on track.
