RPG Engine Dev Log 5: Shops, Inventory, and Desktop Upgrades!
In this dev log, we dive into setting up the buy and sell menus for the RPG engine! 🛡 ️ 💰 The buy menu is hard-coded for each shop, while the sell menu dynamically iterates through the player’s inventory to find items they can sell. Items have unique buy and sell actions that drive the logic for transactions, making our shop system feel functional and robust.
We also showcase the updated desktop environment at Wurst Gaming HQ! 🎨 ✨ The workstation now features a Windows-style interface, complete with program icons, a taskbar, and window headers for the apps. It’s a major step forward in usability and style as we build out this diegetic in-game dev environment.
