Ryzen 7 2700X | A Look at How Much Memory REALLY Impacts Performance
in this video we benchmark the Ryzen 2000 series, we test Ryzen 7 2700X with different memory speeds with both game and synthetic benchmarks. Slow DDR4 under 2800Mhz had a tangible performance drop off, as you will see across all the performance benches in this video.
This is despite the Zen+ architecture having notable improvements in cache latency and other IPC improvements. In our game benchmarks with the 2700X even DX11 and single thread performance noticbly suffers with slower memory testing. The impact of memory performance is still very much felt here, despite the strides made by AMD in cache latency and IPC.
Thanks very much to MSI for providing the X470 and Ryzen 7 2700X processor, and if you wish to get a discount on the motherboard go to this link - https://www.cclonline.com/page/msi-summer-sale/?siteID=RedGamingTech
This is not a sponsored video, but you can save yourself some cash if you've an eye on this X470 motherboard from MSI.
This video is part of a larger series of videos on Zen+, so keep your eyes peeled for more Ryzen 2000 series content.
