Simon Pilgrim, a head programmer over at Sony Computer Entertainment has accidentally leaked that the Playstation 5 will likely be using the Zen microarchitecture for the CPU.

He is currently working on znver1 for the LLVM compiler, and Sony are an active member of the LLVM community, but furthermore the PS4 is using a version of LLVM clang. Therefore its highly likely that the PS5 will use either a Zen or possibly Zen 2 CPU, with the GPU being either Vega or more probable Navi based.

The Playstation 5's technical specs haven't been fully revealed right now, but there is a good chance that the system will be considerably more powerful than the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro, but will retain a lot of the backwards compatibility.
