Nvidia GTX 1180 Out in July ? | Ethereum ASICs "Non Starter" = GPU Price Rise? & More
Today, we have a report which states that the Nvidia GTX 1180 / 2080 is going be Turing rather than a Geforce Volta like some have speculated, and we also have some rumors on when the new GPU is going to release. While the graphics card is still mysterious, the report does clear the waters a little bit...
On the CPU side, Intel have announced the Xeon Gold 6138P with integreated FPGA, which is already out there and shipping to vendors. While we don't know all the specifications of this CPU, we do know enough to get us interested, especially with Intel's talk of what they plan to do with FPGA in the future.
Etherium ASICs have been partially to thank for the fact that GPU prices have finally come down after months of inflation due to huge demand from cryptocurrency miners, but that may not last if a recent comment from an analyst holds true. If their speculation comes to pass, we may once again see gaming graphics cards be more expensive than a human kidney.
In better news, Susquehanna have changed their recommendation for AMD's stocks, which has resulted in a stock rise for AMD. This is due to not only improvement on AMD's end, but also the issues currently plaguing the next gen 10nm Cannonlake CPUs.
