Intel 10nm Cannonlake Y M3 8114Y Dual Core Spotted | 10nm i3 8121U Sisoft Benches Leak & More
A ton of Intel news today, as a new 10nm Cannonlake Y CPU has been spotted, the M3-8114Y, including some specifications for the chip. Naturally there are some differences, specs wise, between them which are primarily in the clock speed and inclusion of an iGPU.
Speaking of the Cannonlake i3 8121U, we have a Sisoft Sandra benchmark leak for this particular processor, which probably means a release is not far off. We take a look at the first benches for this, as well as an official Intel ARK database listing for it.
We also have some comments from Murthy Renduchintala, Intel's head of engineering on why the hefty delays and yield issues that have planned the release of 10nm will not have a knock on effect on the 7nm process. He also talks on their plans for when Cannonlake will launch in high volume, and we also speculate on what could happen if Zen 2 7nm releases while Intel is still stuck on a 10nm process node.
