S T A L K E R: Call of Pripyat - ( 2022 ) Video #160: Emission Irregularities
There was a video before this which was pretty much uneventful other than the standard shoot and loot. I decided not to post it, but I had ended it at the Container Yard at night, which is where this one starts. I was just waiting for some more spawns of men or mutants to take place, but nothing was happening. I had gone to the rear of the Container Yard when an Emission hit and I started recording again.
Previously spending time at the Container Yard during an Emission, I exited to find dead NPCs right outside the gate and I had also found squad of five of Duty mutant hunting party just on the bank of the pond across the road. The point being is if you search around, you can usually find NPCs that the Game spawned related to an Emission who don't survive. Do they spawn dead, or do they spawn in the wrong place and die? That's a mystery I can't explain but I do know to look for the dead after every Emission.
In Zaton they were more common on the roads but not always. Jupiter too but this video is a great example of where I found two groups of dead Bandits, off the roads in places you could easily miss especially if they are at a different height than where you are when you pass by them. You have to get in the habit of looking for a mass of bodies. If you have your grass detail up too high you may miss them entirely.
I only caught the dead Bandits on a lower bluff north-east of the Checkpoint because I went off the road anticipating some possible Zombies south of the Anomalous Grove. In both cases, I recovered some high-end weapons way more valuable than the low-grade Zombie stuff I was seeing too much of lately. I've been selling a lot of high-end weapons to other NPCs and not the Trader. NPCs who buy from you can be recovered later after they die while Trader buys are never seen again. That was the main thing I wanted to share about what happened in this video.
