This is part four of a single-segment speed run of all characters of Saga Frontier completed in 6 hours, 40 minutes, and 56 seconds.

T260G Part 2:

T260G's story really was quite sloppy. There was one more unplanned battle. Using SacredSong vs. the MecDobby100s was more an effort to interrupt turns than do actual damage as they can combo for quite a bit and damage T260G badly. It is possible to fight Genocide Heart at battle rank 2; but it requires some creativity when fighting the 30 forced battles. And, it can actually waste time if you are rather unluckly with enemy sprites. I had an easy way of dealing 10000 damage, so I didn't bother. Turns congruent to 0 mod 2 (even turns) vs. Genocide Heart's "desert sands" scene were nerve racking as MagneticStorm could have been used. However, immediately post-Carnage, Leonard with his equipment had enough HP to survive one while defending.

Lute:

Lute's chapter is boring. This is however one of the safest ways of running the story. I am not a fan of heavy Junk Shop use, but it really is much faster than any non-Junk alternative. AcidBreath's defense down effect lasts the duration of the battle, so it is sufficient to use it only vs. the first form. The third form of Spriggan was rather unkind with its shield; I lost ~2-3 minutes. Also, it is best to defeat the third form of Spriggan on a turn congruent to 2 mod 4 (integer of the form 4k +2). Why? The forth form of Spriggan only uses Buster Laucher on turns congruent to 0 mod 4 with two exceptions: its first two rounds of combat. So, if I had defeated the third form on a turn congruent to 2 mod 4;; then I would have been able to deal greater than 12000 damage during the first five turns of combat. A buster launcher would have followed, followed by 6000 damage. Another Buster Launcer would have come, as would have another 6000 damage. A third Buster Laucher would have followed, but the fourth form's death would have come one to two turns following that Buster Launcher as it is only necessary to deal 27500 HP of damage in order to defeat the fourth form. (Fourth and fifth form are actually one form with 55000 HP.) The point is that this produces a defeat of the forth form in three Buster Launchers as opposed to four. Defeating the third form on turn congruent to 3 mod 4 would produce three Buster Launcher defeat as well.

Closing:

I appear in the 2nd Division around 6 hours 40 minutes and 56 seconds after power-on. This time includes the pauses. I am not a fan of game time and have no way of tracking it as I never saved. Looking at all of the bad luck, menu sloppiness, drunken movement, and otherwise bad execution, the time could be reduced by 10-20 minutes, more than 20 if you really pushed. But I have no desire to do this again. So enjoy it; hate it; or remain indifferent.
