Sam Allardyce was WRONG to leave Sunderland
Skin of the teeth. With six games to go, Sunderland were on the brink of relegation back to the Championship after almost a decade in the Premier League. They had flirted with relegation for a few years but with Sam Allardyce, the Black Cats got lucky again. Three wins and three draws later and Sam Allardyce was removing clothing at the Stadium of Light celebrating their survival. However, Allardyce’s time in the north east was cut short after England came knocking. Allardyce simply had to take the job and leave Sunderland. He was sacked by England after one game and Sunderland have been in League One for 4 seasons now.
