The Samsung Galaxy A56 brings meaningful improvements over its predecessor, the A55, though with a few puzzling decisions. The phone feels noticeably lighter at 197 grams (down from 213 grams) while maintaining the same premium glass-and-metal construction. The redesigned camera module now integrates all lenses into a single unit, giving it a more modern look—though this causes slight wobbling when placed on flat surfaces.

Durability remains strong with Victus+ protection on both sides and an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. However, Samsung has removed the microSD slot, leaving only dual SIM support. The 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display retains a 120Hz refresh rate but now offers better outdoor visibility with higher brightness.

A major win is the extended software support—six years of updates—just one year shy of Samsung’s flagship promise. While the A56 refines the formula, the loss of expandable storage and the wobbly camera module may give some users pause.
