"Sand Dune / 砂山" faster-played accompaniment melody, arr. Shimpei Nakayama, played on chromatic harp
In the book "101 Favorite Songs - Taught in Japanese Schools" (The Japan Times, Ltd. (1991)), there's a song called "Sand Dune / 砂山" in an arrangement by Shimpei Nakayama. In the piano accompaniment, the right hand plays this melody, but I thought it sounded quite nice on its own as well! I played it faster than indicated in the sheet music, and I'm actually playing it with both hands on my chromatic harp.

Info about this song from the book:
Sand dune (1922)
The place sung about in this poem is the suburb of Niigata City facing the wild Japan Sea. In the pine grove is a shrine called Gokoku Jinja. In its grounds stands a monument built in honor of the poet Hakushu Kitahara and his "Sand Dune." A sandy beach and sand dunes spread along the seashore and silverberry bushes can be seen here and there. They may bear small red berries in the autumn which are seen only by sparrows and boys who meet there. When the sun sets and darkness approaches, the sparrows and boys go home. Shimpei's music is quite unique. It is based on Japanese traditional folk song. His piano accompaniment seems to take free directions regardless of the song's course. This is the reason why his music is highly appreciated.
For comparison, I used the exact same microphone to record a song with my lever harp in these videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qPY7rN8XHE&list=PLg2mtqSFBT7lTm5wOkXGjzQ8wQZNOGZyc&index=7&pp=gAQBiAQB8AUB , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCfuH06nCaM&list=PLg2mtqSFBT7lTm5wOkXGjzQ8wQZNOGZyc&index=12&pp=gAQBiAQB8AUB , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SBzTWWmGbM&list=PLg2mtqSFBT7lTm5wOkXGjzQ8wQZNOGZyc&index=18&pp=gAQBiAQB8AUB .

Note: I am just listing my recording equipment for informational purposes! I'm not affiliated with these companies in any way and I bought everything myself. When other people post videos of their recordings, I'm also always interested in how exactly they recorded it, which equipment they used, etc. It's because I wanted to know how I could best record the sound and other people might be looking for similar information.
