Sans End RV Park is just minutes away from Yuma, Arizona, but that's not why we came here. We wanted a stay in our RV in California, you know, so we could put the sticker on our map. More importantly, Sans End RV Park is minutes away from Los Algodones, Mexico. We have been thinking about a stop there for dental needs and so we did. Sans End RV Park has a lot to offer even if you aren't crossing the border, though. Sans End RV Park is located just across the Arizona state line. It is a private park located in Winterhaven, California just a hop off of Interstate 8.
What we love about Sans End RV Park:
1. Quiet, peaceful, amazing sunsets (probably amazing sunrises, too!)
2. Refreshing pool
3. Two dog parks and plenty of park roads for a walk
4. Clean park with flowers here and there and mature palms throughout the park
5. Close to Yuma, Arizona and Los Algodones, Mexico
6. Verizon works great
What we didn't love about Sans End RV Park:
1. The buddy sites - This didn't affect us during our stay, but be aware that there are a few sites where two RVs pull in opposite ways causing their front doors to open to each other and share a patio area. This is great for those RVing together or having a meet up. We are told that some folks love this and others not so much. If you aren't interested in a buddy site, let them know when you book. As always, there are no guarantees, but at least you can ask.
Los Algodones:
Just ten minutes away, an easy drive, you can visit Los Algodones, Mexico. You will need a passport to return to the US after visiting so make sure you have it with you.
Los Algodones, also known as Molar City, offers dental services, optical services, and pharmacy products at a fraction of the cost here in the United States. We had our teeth clean and one of us had a crown replaced. We had no problems and our total bill for it all $360. And, the crown was ready in a day! I also got an eye exam and glasses. Frames, transitional and progressive lenses were only $180 and were ready in two hours!
That was our experience with Los Algodones. We visited Castle Dental and Mendoza Optical. Our back up office for dental was Sani Dental.
If you decide to go, read the reviews online and make our own decisions. There are dozens of offices to choose from.
Now we begin our gradual journey east...
Next stop is Sonoran Desert RV Park in Gila Bend, Arizona
