Kaibab Camper Village, North Rim Grand Canyon Base Camp, Campground Review and Things to Do
#grandcanyon #campgroundreviews #ruffroadrvlife
Kaibab Camper Village located in Jacob Lake, Arizona, is the closest full service RV park to the north rim of the Grand Canyon. We decided this park would be a great base camp for our visit to the north rim. It turned out to be a good choice.
Heads Up: The entrance to the north rim of the Grand Canyon is 45 minutes from Kaibab Camper Village, but it is an easy and scenic 45 minutes.

What we love about Kaibab Camper Village:
1. Full service and a good base camp for the Grand Canyon
2. Adequate size sites

5. Surrounded by miles of forest roads in the Kaibab National Forest
6. Hiking trail from the park to Jacob Lake and nearby Arizona Trail
7. Close to Jacob Lake Lodge which has cookies, ice cream, restaurant, and gift shop. There was also a food truck out front with Navajo Fry Bread.
8. Verizon works
9. Higher elevation here so cooler temperatures in the summer
10. One hour from Lees Ferry
What we didn't love about Kaibab Camper Village:
Nothing to add here.
Heading further south from here to Homolovi State Park after an overnight stay at NavajoLand Tuba City RV Park in Tuba City.
