A specialist engineering unit that is being disbanded as part of Army spending cuts has been demonstrating its unique ability today.

Based at Hameln, in Germany, 28 Engineer Regiment provides British Forces with their only mobile river-crossing capability. .

Forces News cameras joined the General Officer Commanding of the UK's 1st Armoured Division as he went to see what his water-borne warriors could achieve.
