Earlier this year we took a look at the awesome demo for SCP Secret Files and today the game finally launched! Join me on a crazy adventure as we start our first day on the job at the SCP Facility. Our job consists of archiving several events involving various SCP anomalies and revisiting those memories to find out what really happened. The cool thing is that this game is more of a anthology telling and thus each chapter or story has a drastically different playstyle and sometimes even art style. Nevertheless there is always a sinister mystery present and the urge to find out what comes next is always present. I am a bit worried that the average SCP fan will not like this as much since the game is not as much focused on horror as one might expect. The average SCP experience often has chase sequences and monsters in them and some of the stories do not offer this. I think this can be a step in a different direction and widen the world and lore of SCPs. Even I had still the most fun with the more traditional horror stories in this game but it felt nice to have an SCP game that felt a bit more ambitious in terms of scale and visual presentation. I'm still waiting for that Triple A SCP Containment Breach experience which we will hopefully see one day.
