In this video I look at using the Microsoft Surface Data Eraser to make a UEFI Bootable USB that can be used to Securely Wipe a Microsoft Surface. The utility can be found here:

In this case I look at a Surface Pro 5 but the utility supports all Surface Models.

Remarks: Microsoft are behind OEMs such as Dell and Lenovo which have incorporated such a utility within their UEFI BIOS Setup.

It is also a shame that Microsoft never took the time to instead update Diskpart to support data wipe routines for SSDs and NVMes instead of making a separate Bootable Utility that's separate from Windows Installation Media.
