In the Red Desert, you need to traverse the northern ruins in order to proceed, since the trenches cannot be crossed. You'll also find another ruin to the southwest containing a third Hoam part.

If you're strapped on cash, you can repeatedly fight a barrel in one of the wrecked ships. Some of the later gear is ridiculously overpriced, so don't feel bad about abusing this.

Eventually, you'll come across a Sehr tank that you can enter.

Even though Oboa is in the background, he doesn't really help at all.

As you progress though Sehr territory, you'll eventually join forces with Oboa and get access to a ship point in his hideout.
