Yoshiaki's 3rd and final stage in SB3: Utage, translated in English.

I don't think I've mentioned yet, but Yoshiaki uses "我輩" (wagahai) to refer to himself. Japanese has a tooooon of different ways to refer to oneself, but this one is an especially arrogant one you wouldn't hear normally. It's sort of like saying "the great me". It makes it a bit amusing in this stage when he loses his memory but still refers to himself with that, like being arrogant is just ingrained into his being lol.

We meet a bunch of characters here, and you can see how differently the dub handles them compared to JP. Yoshihiro's voice is always more shrill than I expect it to be, considering he's got such a deep voice in SB:SH. Sorin is actually voiced by a man just speaking sort of effeminately, as opposed to being outright voiced by a female in SB:SH. Muneshige and Kanbe are actually pretty close to sounding like their EN counterparts.

The Xavist I feel aren't as entertaining in Japanese as they are in English. The English dialogue changes a lot of their lines to be more...well, funny. Like the commandment of Xavism lines, just about all of those seem to be different. The "between bread and love, choose bread" line for example just stops there, the "for without it, you will die" was added for EN. In JP, they seem to be banking on them saying those lines with the same inflection Xavi had in SB1/2 to be funny more than the actual line. The 12th commandment in particular stands out because in JP it's "If you feel any pain, raise your right hand." What makes this a joke is that it's something Japanese kids get told when they go see a doctor, so it's just something Xavi heard one day at a doctor's. In SB:SH, it's changed to "...a secret for his true believers only". They really just had to change that one 'cuz it just doesn't work in English.

Muneshige's dialogue was a bit of a pain to translate since his inner monologue lines aren't actually written out in Japanese. It's just "(........................)" with the audio playing his voice, so that meant I had to go by ear for all of those lines. I have to do that for cutscenes anyways, and the lines themselves weren't hard or anything, but it was a bit annoying. There's no subtitle option for cutscenes in SB games either, so if you're hard of hearing or outright deaf, well, sucks for you. SB doesn't care.

Last thing I can think of to bring up is Starlight Starbright's appearance at the end. In Japanese, the bird doesn't have a proper name, it's got a title like Yoshiaki gives to the Drillatron. It's something like "Super Sky Fairing Shooting Star Peregrine Falcon". Which I think is honestly a funnier name in the context of Kanbe's blue route in the main game, where Yoshiaki demands he says the bird's name. It's more funnier for the name to be super long so he's having to shout a lot more syllables than just Starlight Starbright's four. Still, I stuck with the EN name for this video since it does have a proper name people will remember, unlike the Drillatron that Yoshiaki just calls a "wonderous wonder" in EN.

Also I turned the difficulty down to Hard (Normal in SB:SH) for this fight. It was taking waaay too damn long to defeat the bosses on Ultimate, especially Muneshige.

And that's it for Yoshiaki's story. His and Matsunaga's were the two I wanted to do the most. That leaves Kojuro, Sasuke, Tenkai, Sorin, Muneshige, and Hideaki left for stories. I plan to keep working on these and do Kojuro's next, but I might go back to streaming as well since I don't want to spend ALL my time translating these. If you see me doing other stuff, then you should probably expect the next translations to take longer.

Edit: Also I realized after I uploaded this I didn't put subtitles for the door opening cutscenes. I even skipped one at the beginning. May start doing that on purpose though just to save time, since they aren't really important.
