Sephonie Steam Game Review & Gameplay | Some Weirdness here!
Sephonie is a 3D platforming and puzzle game available to play on steam that follows the adventures of 3 scientist discovering a bunch of wonderous and magical things about an island.
In this video I go through some of my thoughts playing through the early parts of Sephonie that involves platforming around and completing tetris like puzzles that allow you to link up and learn about the living creates of the island.
If you like the look of Sephonie gameplay and want to check it out for yourself, have a look at the Sephonie steam link below and let me know what you think about the game!

So i got a key to check out this game here called sephonie, and holy shit it's pretty weird, but theres some things that I'm having fun with so going to talk about it a little while. If you like talking about games, especially of the indie variety, leave a comment!
Sephonie got my attention thanks to it's pretty epic looking 3D platforming in what looked like pretty open worlds, and there is a bit of exploring to be found here for sure, but the game also has this tetris style puzzle game that allows you to anayle and link up with fuana and other stuff around the islands. Funnily enough for me, I think I actually enjoy these moments more, although it's fair to say that the puzzles aint all that difficult for me for the moment.
So onto the weirdness, just start with this scene right here, it's not exactly what I was expecting and I have to say it's probably not the best example of the games visual prowess, I did wonder what I had gotten myself into when being introduced here. Turns out whatever this thing is here is actually like, a soul being of the island of sephonie, and they're going to tell us of the myserious adventures of 3 friends who have got sciencing on this new planet in the future. Sounds nifty eh.
Sephonie is a game that to me gave me flashback to ps2 era platform games. You have a range of platforming mechanics that you can unlock, such as vaulting and wall climbing, as well as interacting with elements of the world to float, fly and more to where you need to go. And just like those ps2 days, there's a camera system that you will be wrestling with at times to try and get the right angles, and movement controls that are playable, but just missing a little something that makes it feel intuitive. Missing simple jumps as a camera moves is something i've definitely come across in my play through.
There's a fair bit of dialogue to work your way through, and the pacing of sepphie makes is quite a relaxing playthrough with not too much tension there to block you upon your way.
