This is a vid of a 1v1 online deathmatch in the game Serious Sam: Next Encounter on the PS2. I'm playing with my brother in these vids. We're actually sitting in the same room, so It's more like a lan game for us.

This game is really fun online. It's similar in style to the online play in the Quake games. Perhaps a little too similar, but it's still a blast to play, and the PS2's online could use a little Quake style action.

This level is called The Atlantean Temple. There's not a whole lot too it, but it's got a bunch of fun jump points that you can use to get away from your attacker in a flash. I can see people learning how to use them extremely well to their advantage to zoom around the map and score some good frags in a flash.

I think the biggest reason why no one plays the game is that it doesn't support the headset for online communication, but it does support a USB keyboard. So you'll have to skip over hearing people scream like little girls into the mic. It makes it feel more like a PC version where the only chatting is via keyboard.

It's a pity that no one plays it, because it's actually a really fun game to play.
