Set up a money laundering empire! - TheMidcoreGamer Plays Welcome to Goodland - Pt 1 (Gameplay)
This game strongly reminded me of Cartel Tycoon (and to some extent, This is the Police) which I've had quite some fun with a few years(?) ago, but unfortunately, this time around, despite having similar gameplay, Welcome to Goodland just feels like it's a whole lot of busywork-style micro-management with low-ish revenue. Not sure if it's just me though. Plus, I thought money laundering would have been more lucrative.
Failed this run because I've been pushing for upgrades when I didn't really need them - the money laundering goal has already been exceeded after all. I'll redo the entire week when I'm in the mood for more and plan my moves a bit more carefully this time :P
PS: I completely missed the chance to free Ralph from the police station earlier... only saw that I could do something about the event when the day was almost over. Was too busy trying to manage my businesses AND save them from being robbed by a rival gang.
Oh and one more thing, I really dislike the fact that I wasn't given the chance to "save" a business that has a sudden spike in fear just when the day is about to end. It would have been better if the player is given the chance to do so on the next day.
