Severance was an excellent dystopian sci-fi comedy/drama that came out on Apple TV in 2022. It was directed by Ben Stiller, and starred Adam Scott, John Turturro, Christopher Walken, and Patricia Arquette. The show was about a company who implemented a method to separate the mind of its workers between home time and work time. Their 'outside of work' selves had no memories or knowledge of their 'inside of work' selves. Last year Joe of Answers in Reason and I discussed some of the ethics and philosophical themes in the show, and this is a mirror of that stream. We tried to keep it as spoiler free as possible, but if you haven't seen the show it's probably best to watch it before viewing this stream.
