Here’s another Steam Next Fest demo that I enjoyed a lot more than I was expecting to.

It’s a ‘stealth strategy’ game, which is a genre where my only prior experience comes from a demo for ‘Shadow Tactics: Blades Of The Shogun’. This game feels very similar to that one, except it has pirates instead of ninjas… which means it's better, right? ;)

This section of the demo introduces the major gameplay and story mechanic of the game- capturing memories. After a fun bit of magic undead pirate stealthing, the video ends with a story cutscene which you don’t have to watch unless you want some insight into the story and characters.

The only other thing I need to explain about this video is the enemy vision cones. The solid part is their vision, while the striped bit is obscured by darkness. You can move through the striped bit by crouching, but if you’re standing or performing an action in the striped bit then they’ll see you normally.
