Shadowrun Returns: Dead Man’s Switch Part 5: An Odd Cop
So, after dealing with the Halloweeners who have been bothering Jake as well as helping out an old lady with some other gang members, we head over to the crime scene to start looking for some kind of trail that might lead us to Sam’s murderer. The cop standing (and blocking our pathway) is a very odd person because, no matter what you tell him, he tries to remain vigilant and refuses to move. Obviously, we do get him to let us through although he has such a sudden shift in heart that it seems very random; I guess it makes a little more sense if you picked the correct option straight off the bat but, since I wanted to test out the others, it does seem a little odd. I’ve noticed that this campaign is rather linear and the dialogue options are there to mold your character rather than the people within the world; No matter what option you’ll pick, you’ll still end up in the same ending but there might be a few extra dialogue boxes based on your personality/what you end up picking. That all being said, I could be incredibly wrong about all that and there might be fifteen billion different endings that I’m not aware of so, I guess this is my disclaimer for whomever is yelling at me in the comments telling me that I’m wrong about that. Regardless, we take a look at the crime scene before heading to Sam’s last known location which happens to be Seamstresses Union, a local bar. Side note, when they are referring to “SINless people” they are referring to people who have no System Identification Number which helps people get jobs (I did have to look this up because I was interested and wanted to make sure people weren’t totally confused).
