This map moves the action to snowy mountains with frozen lakes.
The mountain landscapes looks spectacular. Putting many rocks together achieved excellent level of detail. Everything is covered with snow and ice, particles of falling snowflakes and snowy wind form great atmosphere of cold winter.
Shadwen's ruins, despite being seen many times in original game look fresh among the new environment with ice and snow placed on them. On the monastery, stained-glass windows look great together with these brick walls.
Variety of environments is also done well - nice contrast between blue winter sunlight and glowing torches which melt the snow around them.
There's interesting and rewarding exploration with search for secrets. Big environments allow you to stay out of guards' sight by not getting close to them - an addition to gameplay that makes this map stand out.
There is room for improvement.
To the right from first ruins, there is a frozen lake which looks like the player can go there, but there's an instant-death trigger. This would look better if the game allowed to walk on the ice for a while, but it cracks and if you spend more than few seconds on it, it breaks and you fall under it.
If you look closely at the scenery, you'll see a lot of copies of the same rock around. By changing rotation and scale of each copy, this could have been made less noticeable. The piles of dirt in the monastery could use the same, too: the dirt is too evenly spread around.
Natural playable areas made of ground limited by rocks could benefit from having more complex shapes rather than being rectangular.
Overall it's a good map which makes the game itself better. In original game all the action took place in Rivendon and it's great to see totally different areas in custom levels.
