There are so many things that have changed in Pokémon since the original Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl versioins came out in 2006, and with Pokémon Platinum in 2008. One of those changes being the shiny odds, and various shiny hunting methods that have become available in more modern sets of games. The Shiny Charm and the Oval Charm, and perhaps the Exp. Charm and the Mark Charm from the Isle of Armor.
Another quite substantial change is in Ball Mechanics and Hidden Abilities. The classic Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl had the Great Marsh, which was a Safari Zone. I am looking forward to catching and breeding some more Safari Ball Pokémon, and look forward to see if there will be any inspiration drawn from the amazing Safari Zone in Pokémon HeartGold and Pokémon SoulSilver. MY STANCE ON CHEATING
The Nirtheart community is explicitly against cheating. Pokémon that are illegitimately obtained through the use of third-party software by you directly, or that you have received from someone else in a trade (i.e. the GTS) should all be released. Certain Pokémon like Galarian Articuno are shiny-locked, which means that they CANNOT be obtained by normal gameplay.
