Short-Bits - (Episode 1): Who knew this game would provide such a THRILLING experience? 😂
Hello, everyone! You all remember the pilot for "Short-Bits", right? If you read the description for THAT video, you should be aware that I pitched it as a mini-series {for reviews only} that focuses on the relatively obscure visual novels... but only to give them a bit more exposure to the public. Popular ones that became obscure will NOT be covered here... only the ones that I truly think are interesting will be covered here in detail. [And this visual novel truly IS an exception.]
Months after I released the pilot for that mini-series, I eventually started thinking about making this into a thing... so I ultimately decided to finally make it happen. I hope you guys will come along for the ride! {And trust me... I really think it'll be worth it once this series comes to a close. You might come across something that you'll soon be BEGGING to play.}
[The pilot is down below. I hope you enjoy watching it! (Despite it's quality.)]

Now let's talk about this visual novel. I've been seeing this little gem on "itch.io" back in September 2019, and at first... I wasn't interested. The description for it led me to believe that it was going to be a run-of-the-mill visual novel experience. But as development on the title began to pick up, I began to get curious. "A 'non-linear' experience?" "A deep, intriguing story?" These thoughts ravaged my mind as I began to see more and more of this game come into light, but I never really played the game for myself back then.
A month ago, I saw that the game was finally released (it came out on "February 4th" this year), and my curiosity nearly took off. And let me tell you... "Doki Doki Literature Club" literally has NOTHING against this game. Aside from the footage I'm showing you, this game doesn't compare to any visual novel I've seen. To avoid spoiling this wonderful experience, I'd just like to say that it most certainly threw me in for a VERY unexpected change of pace. This game contains a powerful message-- one that makes sense in the context of it all. One that makes you think about reality itself... and it's needed in today's society as a whole. So if you've been avoiding this game thinking it would provide a typical, cliché visual novel experience... THINK AGAIN. It's wholesome, it's worth your time, and it's TOTALLY worth a revisit. {Not to mention that it's PERFECT for completionists, too.}
If you want to get this game trending on any media platform, then you have every right to do so. I believe this video is using a hashtag that says: "#MoeEra". If you could use that hashtag & show off some footage of you playing it, then I'm sure that would help give this game a bit more exposure. It would really mean a whole lot to the developer & the team behind this game, too. The game is ABSOLUTELY free-to-play on "itch.io" & "Steam", so if you're willing to play this game for "4 satisfying hours"... then I'm highly encouraging you to do so. Just be sure to keep an open mind when you're playing this, because this game WILL go beyond it's own capabilities just to get into your head.
