FFXIV needs a better subscrition model, so should it adopt the WOW subscription Token system where players can spent gold to pay for their subscription rater then with their real world money? How it works is quite fair and driven by demand and set by an algorythm, you get the gil, someone gets crysta or a months subscription. There are hurdles for sure, but it's been working in WOW for a few years, Eve Online, and Guild Wars 2 (even though GW2 doesn't have a subscription model)
