Should you buy Slay the Spire in 2022? Slay the Spire is an indie game crafted by the first-time developers Mega Crit Games, who are proud to call Slay the Spire their first developed game. The game consists of unique and innovative deck-building gameplay, contrasted with roguelike elements that indefinitely separate it from the competition. To some, even myself initially the game doesn’t look all that interesting.

It focuses on battles in which you climb a spire, ascending its various flours through multiple acts in which you’ll encounter many enemies, bosses & interesting events along your journey. It’s all about survival, collecting new cards, and building the most efficient deck of cards to wipe out all the enemies in your path. But despite this seemingly ‘simplistic’ concept, the game is complex in its gameplay and is a game more people will enjoy despite how it looks at first glance. Now let’s get right into this review.
