Rift Apart was released about 10 months ago now, and was the first truly awe-inspiring PS5 exclusive, sitting snugly next to Returnal and the Demon Souls remake. Going into the game, I did have pretty high expectations as at the time of its release I’d heard a lot of praise about the game, and many often called it the benchmark of next gen, and the first ‘true’ next-gen experience. I think it’s relatively nonchalant to say that the game blew my expectations out of the park, and has to be one of the most fun, light-hearted, and awesome games I’ve played in a damn while. Now let’s get into the review.
