Shrek 2: Team Action (PC) - 100% Playthrough ~ Part 1: Intro & Shrek's Swamp
0This playthrough of Shrek 2 is dedicated to the late Steve Harwell. If you didn't know, Steve was the lead singer of a band called Smash Mouth and they created the song All Star in 1999, which would be later used in the beginning of the first Shrek movie. His doctors told him he only had a few days to live due to liver failure, but he unfortunately died today. His legacy will live on with one of the most legendary songs ever written. Rest in Peace, Steve Harwell. You'll forever be the one and only All-Star.
Now, I don't know transition into to talking about the game without sounding disrespectful. So I'm very sorry if it's disrespectful.
This game is very underrated. It's a pretty good tie-in game to the movie and I consider it to be one of the best Shrek games. (I'm very certain this isn't a hot take) The only gripe I have with this game is how slow you move. Other than that this game has a lot of good levels, great music, a bunch of playable characters, good minigames, good controls and great variety.
The first level in this game is Shrek's Swamp. It's a basically a tutorial level and it fortunately not grating. You'll be collecting Snail Eyeballs for Shrek to eat for his trip to Far-Far Away, beat up Monsieur Hood and his minions, slow down time with Fiona and catch Faires, throw chickens in Little Red Riding Hood's (or Lil' Red in this game) soup and use Fiona's singing to pop some black birds to make a pie, in this level's Hero Time which is some kind of minigames you see at the end of every stage (excluding the 2 boss levels). You also get and extra mission in every main level and that is to collect all 12 Magic Beans. This level is a great way to start of this game and is pretty fun.
