Shrink's Awakening - Episode 8: There Is Another Sleepwalker

I'm not sure how to feel about this session. I know I said I wanted to get three dungeons done this time, to compensate for the side content I did on Sunday. And yes, I did *technically* finish three dungeons this time, as expected. The problem is that since one of them was considered "optional", did I actually do three dungeons or just two? I mean, I probably would've gone for the optional dungeon regardless... but just because I wanted to do it in the first place, does that actually count as real progress or even more side content? Whatever, I did technically manage to achieve my goal... which is clearly the best kind.
Nirune's dungeon was relatively straightforward compared to some of the others in Alundra. Sure, it was technically split into three portions... but honestly, the bits between each section felt like nice breathers between the puzzles. The puzzles themselves also weren't so bad by comparison. Honestly, it's weird just how much this feels like a full-on "breather" dungeon. Even the "boss fight" was fairly relaxed: just keep running away, while clearing the rocks in your path. Too bad I wasted so many healing items on it before I realized the trick to making it through.
Right after that, I sort of... inadvertently went to the optional dungeon -- the Fairy Pond. Honestly, I just sort of stumbled upon it on accident, while I was testing out my prize from Nirune's Lair: the Aqua Cape, which lets you travel through whirlpools. Considering that my prize was an even stronger sword, I'm not particularly heartbroken about that. Having said that, the bit where Jess died was pretty sad, all things considered. I'm disappointed that for the remainder of this game, I won't know what he is saying. :(
After that, I went into Elene's Dream. I wasn't expecting that dungeon to be quite as complex as it was... especially with three boss fights to tackle. I sort of regret starting with the water dungeon, if only because that section ended up with the throwing two Hidden Eyes at me. The other encounters just had one and they were way easier because of that. Though, I guess it's also possible that my first encounter would've always been against two of those creatures, no matter where it took place. At the very least, it was nice to do this on a Thursday night, so I could go into overtime to wrap this sucker up. From here on out, I'd like to keep my pace of at least four dungeons a week going, so I can wrap this up quickly. I want to finish up my "main line-up" of streams ASAP, so I can dive headlong into the next one before June. Fortunately, the last two games after Alundra should be relatively quick: they'll likely only need one session per game.
