“Silence of the Lambs” fans can join star Brooke Smith at special event at Buffalo Bill’s House
14Buffalo Bill’s House is hosting a weekend-long meet-and-greet event with "Silence of the Lambs" star Brooke Smith, just ahead of Halloween season.
"We are beyond excited to have fans come and meet actress Brooke Smith in an exclusive event called 'Brooks Smith returns to Buffalo Bill's House,’" says Chris Rowan, owner of Buffalo Bill’s House.
"Brooke Smith will be meeting the fans, taking part in an autograph session as well as getting into our interactive well film set — and recreating her iconic scenes for photo ops with the fans themselves," adds Rowan.
The ultra-exclusive special event will take place from September 22-24. "This is a super special event, because this is the first time Brooke has ever been back to the house since filming wrapped over 32 years ago, and we're certainly honored to have her," says Rowan.
The house, made famous by the 1991 psychological thriller 'The Silence of the Lambs,' is now a one-of-a-kind vacation rental.
"The idea for Buffalo Bill's House really came about a few years back," says Rowan. "As a film industry art director and prop stylist, basically, my job is to make film sets look good for a living," he adds.
Rowan purchased the 1910 Victorian-style house in 2020 and now offers the opportunity to fans to stay and take guided tours through the home of the most prolific cinematic serial killer of all time, Buffalo Bill.
"We have 4 bedrooms in the home, and we comfortably sleep up to 8 guests in the home," says Rowan. "The 4 bedrooms all have a theme of one of the major characters of the film," he adds.
